A fully reformed stone built sheperd's cottage on the outskirts of Pinoso with a handicrafts shop, coffee bar, exterior servery and kitchen and a thriving Sunday market.
Situated on the crossroads from the CV83 Pinoso to Monóvar road to the village of Encebras this property includes a shop and cafe bar set inside a securely fenced area of a little under 6,000m².
The outside space is used for a regular and popular Sunday market and for other occasional events. There are water and electricity outlets dotted throughout the lanscaped site. There is a mini golf course close to the main building.
The building is loaded with character. The entrance door is of heavy wood with antique iron fittings. The door opens onto a main room, with barro floor tiles, wooden beamed ceilings and traditional stone and plaster work. This room is currently used as a display area for local handicrafts and other goods. The room is divided into two parts with lots of the original "character" features such as the animal troughs, water well and wall cupboards now used for the display of goods. There is a large wood burner in this room.
Off this main room there is a kitchen and bar area to the right with an "espresso" coffee machine, sink, fridges, dishwashers, worksurfaces etc. - a functioning bar. From the kitchen/bar there is a door leading out to an exterior kitchen and servery which, is often referred to as the barbecue. It has a couple of freezers, an ice cream machine, fridges, worksurfaces, barbecue, gas plancha etc. A functioning food preparation and serving area.
Back inside the main room and off to the right are two separate customer toilets and a good sized storage cupboard. There is also further storage in the roof space.
At the rear of the main room is another feature type door, one which is closed with a wedge of wood set into the wall, and that leads into another large room with a tile and concrete floor, a wood burning stove and featured stone walls. This room is used for display space and there are tables and chairs for coffee bar customers. There is also a French door that leads to a gravelled enclosed courtyard with exterior furniture. This patio currently serves a another sitting area for customers from the coffee shop or handicrafts area.
Outside the main building is a double stepped verandah set up with picnic and other exterior tables. And, along the side of the building is an area originally conceived as a display area for garden plants and what not.
